on several blogs for my tattoo arm & leg work. Feels good to know that my tattoo artists know what they’re doing, not just for my health but for the aesthetics of the pieces. I take time to tweek what I have a mental image of and the creative minds of the artists take control. I don’t really like having pieces other people have (I know, there are billions of people in the world with tattoos) but just to know I added or took out things or changed colors make me feel proud to show off my skin. I don’t try to hide any of my tattoos unless I’m working or need to wear jeans in cold weather and so on. When people come up to me and ask to take photos of my work (mostly) my arm, boosts my self esteem and confidence a little, now knowing people actually are interested in looking at the details and knowing the reason as to why I get what I get. Thankfully I’m really white, and have long legs and arms to fill in things in the future. I don’t try to act or look “tough” with tattoos, it’s the pain, beauty, and artistic talent the artists and I go through to make a statement and accept art & a new perspective into this culture.
